Womegle
The story behind anonymous chat, reimagined.
Remember Omegle? That strange, magical corner of the internet where you could talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything — completely anonymously. No profiles. No followers. No judgment. Just two strangers and a blank conversation.
For millions of people, Omegle was where they had their first honest conversation with a stranger. Where they discovered shared passions, found comfort at 2am, or simply laughed with someone they'd never meet again.
"Words were enough. Words ARE enough. We just forgot that somewhere along the way."
When Omegle shut down in November 2023, it left a void. Not just a website — but a feeling. The feeling that genuine human connection doesn't need a photo, a swipe, or a subscription.
Omegle was raw and unfiltered — which was both its magic and its downfall. The question we asked was simple: What if we kept everything people loved about Omegle — the anonymity, the spontaneity, the magic of talking to a stranger — but built it with safety and respect at its core?
That's Womegle. Yes, we intentionally sound similar to the nostalgic OG Omegle — because we reimagined what it could have been.
One simple idea changes everything:
Women see a dashboard and choose who they want to connect with. No unwanted connections, ever.
Men wait once — and get pinged the moment a woman connects. Browse freely, no wasted time.
No account. No name. No photo. Just an anonymous token and a conversation.
Long conversations create chemistry matches. Reconnect with people who actually clicked.
Report system, progressive bans, fingerprint-based exclusions. Safety built in, not bolted on.
Womegle is permanently free. No subscriptions, no paywalls. Just conversations.
Womegle is built and maintained by an indie developer from India who believes that meaningful conversations shouldn't require a profile, a photo, or a subscription.
We store the absolute minimum data needed to run the platform. We don't track you. We don't sell your data. We don't serve ads inside conversations. Our servers are in India, compliant with Indian data protection law.
If you experience abuse, report it. Every report is reviewed. We take child safety with zero tolerance — any CSAM is immediately reported to cybercrime.gov.in.

"I built Womegle because I believed the internet deserved a place where strangers could have honest, safe, anonymous conversations again. Words first. Everything else later."
